Our goal is to help each child break free from the horrors of their past and step into a future filled with opportunity, purpose, and freedom.
At Sacred Horse Ranch, our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and rehabilitative sanctuary for children who have survived the horrors of sexual exploitation, trafficking, and abuse. We are committed to restoring hope, rebuilding lives, and empowering young survivors by creating a secure home where they can heal and rediscover their strength. Through a holistic approach to care, we will support each child on their journey toward recovery and self-sufficiency.
Sacred Horse Ranch will be a haven of healing for children and teens from across the United States who have endured exploitation, trafficking, abduction, and sexual abuse. In this serene and restorative setting, survivors will experience nature’s therapeutic power, learning to overcome trauma while developing essential life skills.
Founded by Jeffrey Pimentel, Sacred Horse Ranch is the realization of a lifelong mission. Having endured his own painful experiences of abuse, Jeff dreamed of creating a place where boys and girls could escape their trauma, find their voice, and reclaim their power. As a former law enforcement officer, he witnessed firsthand the profound impact of experiential learning under the mentorship of dedicated, caring adults. Sacred Horse Ranch is built upon this belief - that children heal best through connection, experience, and the wisdom of the natural world.
More than just a refuge, Sacred Horse Ranch will be the first of its kind in Wyoming, offering a specialized, trauma-informed, and evidence-based treatment center designed to help survivors and their families reclaim their lives. Our unique one-year program will combine onsite and outpatient care, integrating research-backed therapies developed with the input of leading experts in child trauma recovery.
HEALING THROUGH NATURE & ADVENTURE
At Sacred Horse Ranch, healing is not confined to therapy clinics. We believe that restoration happens in nature through movement, adventure, and connection with animals. Our programs will incorporate Equine Therapy, where children learn to build trust, confidence, and emotional resilience by working with horses. Survivors will experience the joys of hiking through Wyoming’s breathtaking landscapes, horseback riding, canoeing in serene waters, fishing and participating in outdoor survival skills training, and, in the evenings, relaxing around a fire to “talk story.” These activities allow children to rediscover the simple joys of childhood, reconnect with themselves, and embrace life beyond their trauma.
Additionally, our hands-on workshops will teach children gardening, animal care, woodworking, and wilderness survival, fostering a sense of accomplishment and independence. These experiences help survivors develop life skills, resilience, and a renewed sense of self-worth.
WHY SACRED HORSE RANCH?
A Child Survivor – is a Warrior. Someone who has faced unthinkable horrors and emerged stronger. Their journey is one of courage, transformation, and hope - learning that the guilt and shame they carry are not theirs to bear but belong to those who wronged them. At Sacred Horse Ranch, we honor their unbreakable spirit, guiding them as they rise from the darkness and transform their pain into purpose.
OUR CHILDREN ARE NOT ALONE
When hope seems lost, Sacred Horse Ranch will be the light on their path. Our ranch will welcome children ages 8 to 17 who are runaways, homeless, survivors of sexual exploitation, trafficking, and abuse - or who simply need a safe place to heal.
Sacred Horse Ranch will be a sanctuary of refuge, healing, and love, where children are met with understanding, care, and unwavering support - free from judgment and pressure.

We will work tirelessly to fundraise and secure resources so that children and families in need receive the best possible care, free of charge.
